To everyone out working in the Heat today |
|
Be careful out there,
Drink lots of water, take breaks and pace yourself.

Pack a cooler with ice and wash rags. |

Frequent applications of iced water to the neck can make ALL the difference. Personally, I think it is time we reversed the "working hour clock." People should "do stuff" at night, when it is cooler and sleep during the peak heat hours. That's what my fur people are doing, and I am following their lead.
Climate change is only going to get worse, and people had better prepare for a new way of dealing with it.
I am now officially a vampire. I sleep in the day, and work at night.
It only makes sense.
But then, Americans don't seem to have much of that lately.

2. Just plain water can throw off your electrolyte balance if you consume enough of it.. |
|
Salt tablets or something like Gatorade can help with that.
