2. You're right -- they mentioned that on MSNBC. Said the markets

responded favorably when a rumor of an almost-done deal made the rounds.

I don't hold out much hope - isn't this what they've been working on all along? Don't see either side giving in. But he probably had to give it one more shot before he -- what? Pulls out the 14th? Are there any other options (besides default)?

3. From what I've heard, the option will be the McConnell option where Obama will raise the ceiling

and then pay whatever political price there is based on the details of that proposal. The details haven't been completely clear to me though, so I can't give any insight on them.

fast moving it's hard to keep up, and most of what we DO have is speculation, projection, and erroneous leaks.
