I don't want to silence anyone. I just want them to quit making death threats
directly or indirectly. What is this about nonsense about "silencing" anyone? All I want is for the GOP to make arguments based on facts, examples and evidence.

Are they simply saying, "Take away our 'right' to threaten people and we have nothing to say."

2. Fear is their M.O.

Always has been, always will be.

Oh, and they thrive on being victims. When Dr. Laura was taken to task for saying the n-word on the radio, she said her free speech was being curtailed. Of course it wasn't, but free speech has consequences...and those consequences bit her in the ass. Then it was 'poor Dr. Laura, she's being censored.' Yeah, right.

Words and actions have consequences.

3. Exactly! They are threatening to kill. They try to disguise it but it's certainly implied.
And they keep doing it and inciting violence. We must hold them to be accountable for their position of media political leaders.

8. matthew hale was behind the murder of at least two people
Ricky Birdsong, a coach in Chicago, and a Korean student at Indiana University. His follower went on a rampage after Hale was refused a license to practice law.

6. exactly. I don't want the govt to enforce restraints on speech
but I do want the media to stop giving a platform to the creeps that constantly use eliminationist rhetoric against their fellow citizens.

we used to have a media that had more decency than to pander to hate... they showed the hate for what it was, they didn't provide it a show.

we used to have politicians that remembered that JFK was murdered after southerners spent time and money distributing hate speech pamphlets across the south, including H.L. Hunt's call out for treason. (oops, we used to and still do have people in this nation with a lot of money who use it to spread inflammatory and hateful rhetoric because it suits their ends.)

but we used to have a media that recognized that was scumbag behavior.

now the media engages in it.

9. What I'm referring to is the latest strawman
That somehow Democrats are saying the GOP should be silent and not voice their opinion or opposition. That was obviously the talking point of the day as I listened to the news shows this morning.
