"Contact your Congressional Representative"... |
|
I just tried. (In this case, Republican Dave Reichart of WA-8.)
Phone line busy - not even to voice mail, just a busy signal.
Contact via web form - "Server is too busy."
Think someone's giving him an earful? Or have the G.O.P. congresscritters just taken their phones off the hook and turned off their e-comment facility so they can claim "we didn't get much response to Obama's call"...?
Anyone else experiencing the same phenomenon?

2. Yes. I tried to get into Charlie Bass' (R-NH) website and kept |
|
getting a message that I was forbidden entry. I finally got to him through the Congressional website. These thugs know what the American people want...they don't think they need to hear from us. :-)

3. Hell, Bass wasn't accessible when he took over from Dick Swett. |
|
His line was ALWAYS busy - or you got a voice mailbox and never got a reply. Writing was just as worthless. It didn't matter what subject you wrote about, you'd just get his current propaganda statement (form letter) about two months after writing. Dick Swett's office ALWAYS got back to me within two weeks and with a response that not only addressed the subject I had written about but also tied in any relevant matters from previous letters I had sent. Dick was right when he called Bass a "slippery fish", even though it cost him the election.

actually addressing the issues of my emails to him.
A few years ago I called Randy Kuhl's office on an enviromental issue and got hung up on a miunte into the conversation even though I was being polite and deferrential. PUKES don't care about what citizens think.

|
got the machine, just as I was about to leave a message the call was picked up by his federal office. I spoke with them for about 5mins.
Concord office # 226-0064 Littleton office #444-5505 (only monday and friday) Washington office #202 225-5206 Don't give up. They DO need to hear from us. Especially those of us who vote-
Ann Mclain Kuster WILL defeat charlie Bass in 2012. We have to keep fighting.

Tried to contact Boner. He's not my congresscritter but he seems to believe he can speak for everyone.
Website was unavailable. Will try again this morning.

14. That's what I did. Their DC websites wouldn't load, too busy, or their DC phone lines |
|
were too busy or took my call and then promptly disconnected.
I got through by calling their local offices for all three of mine, the rep and the two Senators.
Good luck and don't stop trying!

with objections to default and cuts to SS and Medicare. Not that the TB Nut will listen but I tried.
Gillibrand already signed onto a proposed Senate bill that says there should be no cuts to SS or Medicare. So far as I understood it, She is only one of 7 senators who have signed it though. Wish the rest of the Dems would.
Schumer has said Boneheads bill was irresponsible and was not long enough to stop the downgrading of
our credit rating. Couldn't get to his website, to tell him to hold firm, I got Internal Server Error messages will try again.
I have to say I love Gillibrand. Called her office just a few minutes ago and thanked her for standing up for SS. and Medicare.
SHE ROCKS!

16. UPDATE: I finally got through after a number of attempts... |
|
...and told Reichart's message-taker that "enough is enough," we need a balanced solution right now, and that I would "not easily forgive" my representative if I sustained financial harm due to a default.
