Where Did You Get the Idea that Tea Baggers are Responsible for Violence?
Where did any of you DUers ever get the idea that Tea Baggers where responsible for the killing of 6 people in Arizona and the gunning down of Democratic Congresswoman Gabby Giffords who voted in favor of Health Care Reform? How can you jump to such conclusions?

Here's how.

You Tube: Rand Paul Thugs Stomp Move-On Woman's Head
http://www.opednews.com/articles/You-Tube-Rand-Paul-Thugs-by-you-tube-101026-610.html?show=votes

The video and pictures of that incident, located further down in the article, look pretty violent to me.

At least, I think stomping on a woman's head while she is down on the ground looks violent.

17. Yeah, I would judge that stomping
to be violent. Of course it was both justified and ignored by the right wing media.

5. Don't tell the kumbaya folks here
They steadfastly refuse to correlate daily calls for violence on hate radio to an outburst of violence from a hate radio listener.

11. bankers.
the bankers who are screwing all of us are loving this. They continue on as we fall apart. The government of both Democrats and Republicans has let this decline occur over 30 years. the middle class has splintered and looks for scapegoats everywhere. It was not the gays or the gun lovers who did this. it was the politicians and the bankers. it is getting worse and will not end until the government is changed. Soon.

19. Here's what I don't understand
can somebody point me to a leftist, liberal, Democratic rally in which the discussion of using guns to intimidate our opponents is used in rhetoric or on signs? I can't find one that's not more than 35 years old.

12. How about the October 2008 Sarah Palin rally: "Kill him!"
Edited on Mon Jan-10-11 01:48 AM by Mimosa
Lest we forget:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/06/mccain-does-nothing-as-cr_n_132366.html

Excerpt:

The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of "kill him" followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama's relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers.

Wiley says the Secret Service did not begin looking into the matter until press reports, namely Dana Milbank's article in the Washington Post, surfaced today, because no agents at the event heard anything. "The Secret Service did not hear any threatening statements directed at targets under its protection and no threatening statements were reported to us by law enforcement or citizens at the event," Wiley told Radar. Also unclear: whether the remark was directed at Obama or Ayers if the words were actually "kill" and "him."

In the latest instance of inflammatory outbursts at McCain-Palin rallies, a crowd member screamed "treason!" during an event on Tuesday after Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of criticizing U.S. troops.

" said, too, that our troops in Afghanistan are 'air raiding villages and killing civilians,'" Palin said, mischaracterizing a 2007 remark by Obama. "I hope Americans know that is not what our brave men and women in uniform are doing in Afghanistan. The U.S. military is fighting terrorism and protecting us and protecting our freedom.

The red targets are congressmen that are retiring. In that case, what's the purpose of the cross hairs in those districts?

33. The word "responsible" is a bit strong, but Palin and others...
have been promoting violence as a solution since 2008 and others like from the KKK to the Branch Davidians to the John Birch society and right wing militias have promoted violence as solution for years. Since the Weathmen and Black Panthers and some of the AIM members has there been anything even close to that on the left.

Peace,
Tex Shelters
