People say the dumbest things when talking about a tragedy
Just saw the minister of one of the victims on CNN. He was talking about the man who was killed and he said 'He had some heart issues. And we knew he was going to die some day. So this is probably for the best.'

:wtf:

Being murdered is for the best? Better than heart disease??

Then he went on to say he is advising his church members to keep politics out of this. That's not helpful.

Good grief. Keep this minister away from me if I am ever sick.

11. I believe that is the correct interpretation, Sir
Seriously, a minister who calls murder a blessing? Jesus is weeping.

14. On facebook I've seen a lot of bizarre comments like "both sides do it" -
regarding the hate speech ... we've got to remark on that whenever we see it. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with that.

19. Well, as a minor defense of the man,
those of us who deal with death and the impact on families actually take training in right and wrong things to say and when to say nothing, just listen. We take them yearly, just like CPR and so we are less likely to say those oh so stupid things that were actually saying to make us feel less uncomfortable. He may not have had adequate training nor an intuitive sense of what to say or not to say.

I am willing to give him a slight pass cause he was talking to CNN and not the man's family.
