6. Besides the point, this is beyond speculation
if we default it will be all but happy... and FINALLY the markets who thought we could not be this insane... saw that we are.

We call this a panic.

5. The Republicans have permanently damaged this country..
First with Bush II (before that, but for space sake, let's start there), now with this looming threat of default. Even if we don't default, do you think anyone is going to trust the US to be a reliable borrower after the shit the Republicans are pulling? It's already going to take a long time to clean up Bush's mess, but this...this is unforgivable. All we really had left after Bush was our credit rating, and that's already been damaged. This is too much to watch. And of course those who are already suffering or can't afford to suffer will be the first impacted, and if that happens, those who think they're sitting pretty are going to get a kick in the balls.

7. Black friday (in July)?
The Riche$ Of The World must be frothing at the mouth, as their only concern will be "how Low will we buy" (back).

ManufactuRed... again, again, again, as always.

9. Yep, but this is panic
as to that... no, not really... actually they warned the children that if they went there there would be challenges... I think some of these children have signed their political death warrant tonight... and more than just that.

Oh and they are frothing... but because the economy was slowly coming out... now there is a dip in front of us.

As there is "another" OPPORTUNITY in front of THEM (parasite$).

But, hey. Ain't capitalism GREAT?

13. But here is the problem, they did not want this
that is the point...

They sent smoke signals, even called them names. I mean you know it is bad when the WSJ (quoted by McCain) calls them names.

You see a little problem, and 2008 might be seen that way... is easy to control... a world war, or a major crash (which could lead to some real ugliness) is not.

We are ripe, and I mean world wide, not just the US, ripe for some real ugliness in hard times.

Nikkei down a 1/2 point, Hang Seng down 3/4 point and a couple smaller markets showing green? Not seeing much panic there.

16. You know, if you don't like it, you don't have to read it
but markets reacting to this was kind of predicted and DISMISSED by the radicals in the House.

You think WS will not react either? If you do, I really want some of what you are smoking, serious.

18. Nor do you need to spread panic
where none yet exists. Sorry if that doesn't fit the scenario you're attempting to conjure.

20. I guess I respect the reader more than you do
I gave you a link. People can go see where they are for themselves. I am sorry that giving a link to the actual index causes a panic. That is news to me.

Sorry... good night, have a good evening. Oh and the environment I am not conjuring but pointing to is that the MARKETS ARE REACTING BY GOING DOWN. Or is Yahoo spreading a panic too?

In my view this is the realization that yes, we are that dysfunctional, but to each it's own.
