With just days away from default he kept pushing for 48-hours a bill that he couldn't even get his own caucus to vote for and one which would have been DOA in the Senate and had a veto threat from the president.

This Speaker put his "prestige" on the line and his own members told him to jump in a lake.

Obama and Dems need to take the initiative now.
