Iranian Green bloggers letter to Syrian protesters
The human wave of people struggling against oppression, starting from Iran and passing by Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Bahrain, has now reached the fortress of the Syrian authorities. It seems that this indomitable wave has no will to end its course and the flames of freedom, passing from hand to hand, is now within the grasp of you, courageous people of Syria. Your clenched fists, your strong will and your unimaginable struggle despite of the horrible bloodshed of that vicious government has awed Iranians and all the world.
Iranian freedom fighters, bearing their green flag, are also looking into the bright future and they have followed your movement since the first days. They all wish for your victory and feel a part of your sacred anger, excitement and hopes. Unfortunately, on the other side of the border, are seated those rulers whose frightened hearts do not understand the epic of the peoples presence and requests. They fear for the destruction of their palaces and the end of their despotism, therefore they ruthlessly use their weapons to quite the people, not knowing that this wave will swallow them.
For all people, a day comes where they see their dignity and honor at stake and they have no other choice than to stand up. The Epic that you, courageous people of Syria have created, is oh so familiar for us Iranians. in any news that we receive despite the reinforced censorship, in any clip that we view from your fight and your struggle, we see our own story reenacted in your revolution. that sameness is what unites all freedom fighters of the region and puts the despots of our countries in the same front against their people. Today, the united rulers of these countries have the same benefits at stake and they compete with each other in the heinous crimes they commit against those people. One uses its media and diplomatic utilities to fight the combatants in order to justify their murder. They pretend that the freedom seekers are hooligans and that they deserve their atrocious fate, the other one sends its troops to fight defenseless civilians and yet the other, sends its squads to another country to help the despot contain the civil rights movements in Syria. The height of this deception is shown when the person who pretends to be the leader of the Muslim world, uses the Friday prayer of Tehran to hypocritically shed tears on Palestinians and Egyptians and yet, ratifies the murder of the Syrians. This is nothing but the continuation of those paranoiac illusion that permits them to act like Gods and to ruthlessly judge and condemn whomever they find against their advantage; calling one a martyr and the other one an intriguant. That is why today, their dark souls reflect in their faces and they can hide no more and their complicity with the murderers of the region cannot be denied anymore.
The recent developments of the region had one great outcome: they can lure no one anymore, they cannot hide behind their defending the Palestinian people in their fight with Israel. The Palestinians' well-being cannot be used as a publicity for their dark ends in order to gain them some false legitimacy. How can they defend Palestinians and yet, murder viciously its own people? How can they justify the huge gap between the Human Rights and what is really going on in their own country without being trapped by the two scales, two measures concept? those treacherous tricks do not fool the people of this region anymore and they cannot misuse those publicity to gain any legitimacy whatsoever.
Apart from the indefensible acts of the illegitimate government of Iran, the bloodshed of Syrian freedom fighters has a very bitter effects on Iranians. We believe that with the peoples resistance, the kingdom of oppression cannot survive and the foundation of despotism is soon to be shaken and will disappear. The blood of many courageous Syrian fighters will pave the road to freedom. The way you Syrian people are carrying this fight, with so much pride and dignity, there is no doubt that you will soon succeed. You should be aware that the deepest prayers of the Green freedom fighters of Iran is with you in each of your steps.
