Crosshairs "speaks" - hiding behind Beck...
Edited on Mon Jan-10-11 11:53 AM by TeaBagsAreForCups
Glenn Beck reads email from Sarah Palin
Posted by therightscoop on Jan 10, 2011 in Politics | 5 Comments

This is probably the closest thing we’ll get to hear from Sarah Palin on this weekend’s unfortunate events. Glenn Beck reads part of an email from Sarah Palin to him in light of the massive smear job the Left is perpetrating against her. Beck reads his part first and then part of her response. Here is how she replied to him (according to Beck):

I hate violence. I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence.

Perhaps it’s just the way Beck read her words, but they resonate with me.

.... wingnut blah, blah, blah.

Interpretation Pleeze? Just WHAT does that excerpt from Crosshairs mean?

6. So, Mr. Beck, name five assassinations at gun-point of prominent people on "your side"
in the last 70 years. In the US of course.

Have you lost any of your right-wing heroes to the assassin's gun recently?

Reagan is probably about as close as it comes.

Random killings occur and are done by people of different political persuasions. Also, domestic violence occurs to people of all political and maybe even religious persuasions.

But political assassinations, targeting political figures and figures who are prominent because they express their views on issues or are active in politics, those are the work of crazed right-wingers.

7. I certainly don't think Palin should be indicted for murder.

But she is an irresponsible fool and was warned over and over again that her violent rhetoric, especially during the campaign, was liable to be taken seriously by some unstable people of whom there are many among her followers. This is why most responsible do not use such rhetoric.

The woman is a fool who took advantage of one of, although not the only, worst mistakes made by the Republican party, who so underestimated the American public, especially women, thought that a woman, any woman, might help get McCain some of the Hillary women supporters who had basically split from the party during the campaign. The problem was that Sarah Palin so frightened intelligent people, it had the opposite effect and many people went to the polls simply to stop her, especially women.

She is irrelevant but she injected herself into the election and used violent imagery basically sending a not-so-subtle message to the nuts who make up her following, that she was 'targeting' Democrats. Combined with the rhetoric used by several Republican candidates, 'if the ballot box doesn't work, maybe the bullet box will'. And it's 'time for the 2nd Amendment solution' etc.

Such a person does not belong on the public stage and it is the duty of Republican leaders now to distance themselves from her and all other hate-mongers they have used to try to get votes, even the votes from the far fringes of society.

True, no one knows what motivated this gunman. But we do know he, and many others who suffer from mental illness, have grown up in an increasingly violent-prone environment, listening to leaders encouraging violence as a solution for every problem, wars, torture etc.

Other more civil societies have their mentally ill population, but they are not nurtured on violence as they are here.

Sarah Palin should step off the public stage voluntarily. She adds nothing to the political discourse except more divisiveness and her only reason for being there is money. She is the worst that country produces in the political arena. The rest of the world looks on in horror that such an ignorant woman could have ever made it to so close a position to the presidency in this country.

If she cares about her country, she will now fade into oblivion as she is nothing but a destructive influence on the most disturbed members of this society. Hopefully the media will assist her to do so for the sake of this country.

As for your 'both sides do it'. Please link to Democratic candidates for office who have called for the 2nd Amendment solution if they lose an election or posted maps targeting political opponents with violent imagery such as the crosshairs of a gun.

I am talking about elected officials. Try as I have, I cannot remember a single Democrat sinking to that level in this election. But I can provide many links to Republicans who did just that.
