An Observation: It seems many voters do the same thing we accuse politicians of:
Being more concerned with campaigning than governing.

Whenever a disappointing outcome occurs, as many feel is happening with the debt ceiling negotiations, a "positive" response is to consider how when Democrats lose something legislatively, one result may be Republicans losing the PR battle and at the voting booth next time around.

At some point we must be more concerned with what is happening NOW...with what happens when these politicians are governing...rather than always, always being focused on the next election cycle and campaigns.

1. You hit the nail in the head. Just do what's right without excuses.
Imagine respecting a party's integrity.

2. Just do the right thing....integrity.
We hear the words but rarely see it put into action. Not only in politics, but in so many aspects of our lives.
