They Won't Take Responsibility, The Violence Serves To Intimidate
of course the right won't take any responsibility. the angry rhetoric and violence serves to only make them more menacing.

a bully or dictator seeks to ENHANCE their violent and brutal image rather than to smooth it. it saves energy when you walk up and demand lunch money and don't have to beat people up. they just give it to you. any mobster or crime figure will tell you the same. the threat of violence often times is more effective than actual violence. fear is often times a more effective tool than brutality.

with the right in full spin mode, they are saying to their followers, "you are innocent. you are pure. it's ok for you to threaten and be more angry. in fact, they're blaming you for being violent and angry. they are trying to take away your rights."

they seek to deflect blame and also it keeps their enemies bullied and terrorized, keeps them living in fear. without tough questions being answered, without any people being taken down a level and brought to heel and asked to act like human beings, they are being given cover to continue to act like political mobsters.

just like any cheap thug or mafioso, the right is acting like any typical junta of every tin pot dictator in history. they won't take any responsibility because with the mainstream media covering their asses, covering sarah palin's ass, they are sending a simple message to their political enemies.

"now nothing can protect you."

keep them scared, keep them intimidated, make them afraid to talk to their constituents who support them.

if democratic members of congress are afraid to go out and even campaign, how can they hold office?

12. And they know exactly what they're doing
I don't buy the "nobody could have predicted" bullshit any more than I buy the "both sides do it" bullshit. The Tosh.0 program has an occasional segment called "What Did You Think Was Going to Happen?" Let's see, we'll crank the fear and paranoia machine 24-7, keeping it at a steady pace, disseminating low grade panic all over the nation. Add in cheap and easy access to firearms. Garnish with violent language and imagery. And . . .

What did you think was going to happen? It would take a Grade-A imbecile not to see the Arizona Tea Bagger Massacre coming. Maybe not in Arizona, and maybe not on January 9, 2011, but somewhere, sometime, with the inevitability of the sun rising in the east.
