A look ahead at Democratic political "Inside Baseball" - invitation to speculate |
|
In the late stages of this debt limit debacle (I know, some call it a success) I have seen a lot more of Steny Hoyer than of Nancy Pelosi. There have long been rumors of competition between the two, with Pelosi being a lot more liberal and Hoyer being more (what is the favored term these days?) pragmatic.
Assuming we win back the House in '12, do you think either of these two would be i line for Speaker? If so, who? If not either of them, then who?
Again, this is obviously all pure speculation. Have fun. Speculate here.

1. I'm sure some mainstream dlc/3rd way/"new" dems would be in line, |

Pelosi, Hoyer, or other.
I'd rather see DK and/or Grayson, myself.
Which just highlights the shit hole we find ourselves in, since it's likely that neither will be in the House.

3. I was pretty much the last man standing when she took MiMS' investigation off the table |

I'm still unhappy about that, but I see her as a great Speaker and a very effective one. Quiet. But very effective. I would welcome her back.
