Interesting Asian markets are falling |
|
http://finance.yahoo.com/intlindices?e=asiaAnd so are European ones http://finance.yahoo.com/intlindices?e=europeI guess the news on our anemic factory this morning really wiped out the happy feeling of no default. (Yes the recession is back kids... and with austerity it is just a matter of time before it is official)

1. Sales are either dropping, or at best, in stagnation. |
|
What we have is either the beginning of a depression, or a permanent deflation.
And they're gone on vacation!
What a bunch of quitters...

2. Well, the world goes on vacation in August. |
|
No one can get anything done in Europe, at all, this month. It's just how it is.

3. Yeah, but it depends what kind of vacation they take, and |

this year, I bet most will just stay home, not buying anything 'extra' and not travelling anywhere. They just don't have any cash or are worried about what they sense is coming... and hope they can save some, just in case.
$weet...

6. Even if they don't go to the sea, they'll day-trip to some water's edge. |
|
You don't go on your vacation and sit around the house. It's just not done!

12. You get on the subsidized Pullman bus and bring a picnic. |
|
You don't sit in your house and mope. If you have a friend by the shore, you do a day trip to visit them.
You go to the park and eat by the fountain.
It's cheaper to sit outside in the shade of a tree in the open air, than run the fan in the house.
If you sit in your house, it's on you. You're probably spending more on electricity for your lights and computer and fan than you would if you went out for a walk. It would improve your mood, too.

5. A Period of Austerity is much kinder sounding than a Depression |
|
but at the end of the day...if you don't have food to eat or a roof over your head...it matters not if you are depressed or austere...you are going to be pissed off.

8. In 2003 we were told the Bush tax cuts would create jobs and free up cash |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-02-11 01:53 AM by FarLeftFist
....The opposite happened. Then again in 2010 we were told that if we continue these Bush tax cuts it would free up trillions from these corps to hire/invest etc. Still, Nothing.....(well, besides economic collapse).....When are we going to stop this ridiculous way of thinking, this zeitgeist has become a religion in America and just like real religion it's all based on a lie.

charge the centers of power, metaphorically speaking that is.
The MINORITY gets it's way by doing crazy stuff and NOT so crazy stuff. Time to organize, run people from our side, primary their assess and take action.
