1. Of course they are but it's not a conscious process in most of them |
|
They honestly believe all that happy horseshit peddled by Koch funded right wing stink tanks or they wouldn't be Republicans.
They're authoritarian, follow-the-leader types whose thinking is all magical thinking and they all think the guy ahead of them in line is worth following just because he's ahead of them in line.

2. Not the multitudes, maybe, but the leaders -- with their "starve the beast" |

theory, which began during Reagan. Drive up the deficits (by cutting taxes) to a point where everybody agrees they're a problem -- then use that pressure to force slashing of social programs. More on this here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x1646849

4. They want to punish the USA for voting for Obama. |
|
What it's really about is that the vast majority of us refuse to sign onto their crazy Jesus agenda and stop fucking for pleasure. Witness their tantrum over the idea of no copays for contraceptives.

5. Absolutely! I've thought that ever since Obama was elected and wanted a stimulus package.. |
|
They've done everything in their power to kill jobs and the economy...including this debt ceiling crisis. Just watch, they'll start another controversial topic (abortions again...Gays etc ?) so they don't have to discuss creating jobs...because they don't have the faintest idea how...nor any interest.

6. YES! They think something must be destroyed to "save" it |
|
Stupid, stupid and evil.
Case in point -- current doofus Ron Johnson in WI, who unseated the eminently worthy Russ Feingold, while citing "creative destruction" of jobs to usher in a new (and non existent) energized economy. This guy is such a fraud on so many levels, given that his private enterprise "experience" was funded by a fortuitous marriage.
Doing the same with public education (to "save" the kids) and public jobs in every sector to suckle up to their money groups.
Kill the economy and the USA and blame it on Dems --- and then really drive it into the tank. tp fill their coffers and the pockets of those who skate on taxes and any responsibility.
I never thought I could be filled with so much hate for a political party. I had such hope the vitriol would recede -- but even though I am disappointed in Obama, I will work work work for him and other Dems to offset this corrosive element in our society.
