The RW talk shows want it both ways.

They want you to believe they have influenced the political climate in this country to where the people returned control of the U.S. House and many state governors to the Republicans, even though this current economic climate began under their control. They like to think that their constant message that Democrats are out to take away your freedoms and rights and throw this country to the socialists or communists has worked in shaping elections.

Now, they're backpedaling and spining like tops when people started pushing back and accused these same people of creating the climate that has led to violent acts such as the mass shooting in Arizona last weekend.

Well, what is it? Do you RW talkers have the ability to influence people to where you can change the political balance of power in this country? If so, you must also accept the fact that your constant hateful message can influence a few on the fringe to take radical action, like shoot people only because of the political party they represent.

You can't have it both ways.

There is a vast difference between rhetoric pointed at inanimate objects -like bills- ideas- opinions and the violent rhetoric employing guns and weapon terms pointed at real PEOPLE!

The left has used the former metaphors while the right puts targets on people and uses terms' like ' If the ballot does not work bullets do'...Lock and Load, 2nd Amendment REMEDIES...to begin the list!
