Former Senator Alan Simpsn. Did you just hear him on The Last Word? I honestly don't disagree with anything he said!

"If youre afraid of Grover Norquist, your a damn chicken and don't belong in Washington!"

It's a damn shame there aren't any Pubs like him left!

"We had the greatest generation," Simpson said. "I think this is the greediest generation." Alan Simpson

10. HA! I'm far from young. Probably older than you are. I SAID I know he's a Pub,
but Pubs like him, with the willingness to speak at least what even WE all believe to be the truth are extinct! Have you heard any Pubs currently in office said the things he said tonight? Have any of them questioned the Almighty Grover? He said a lot of rational things tonight, and I respect that.

to merit an "investigation" into how he earns his money, who he gets his money from and what type of people/how many people are on his payroll..........

This sounds like a job for the National Enquirer or Larry Flynt!

8. Delusional. Alan Simpson is one of the worst pieces of shit in the country and has been
for many year.

If you like the way this fucker talks, you must be a pretty rabid right winger and more than a little fascist friendly. This piece of work has been around a long time.

11. that's the problem with MSNBC
who was the interviewer? Lawrence O'Donnell, the self-professed socialist? You know why you liked him? Because the MSNBC interviewer, whoever it was, lobbed softballs at him. It was a lovefest. I didn't see it, but i'm confident it wasn't a real interviewer.

Let Amy Goodman interview Simpson, she'd cut through his b.s.

what I'm expecting to hear, and I'll admit it if I don't, is O'Donnell working together with Simpson to create exactly the impression of Simpson that the OP got.

17. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HECK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT
O'DONNELL did NOT lob anything soft at Simpson. This was hard hitting questions.

This was GET IN YOUR FACE TRUTH. Everything Simpson said... needs to be investivated. He said when ANYONE is as powerful as Norquist is... there should be hard investigations and NOW. Where is Norquist getting his funding? How much money does he make? How many staffers are in his organization? WHO IS BEHIND THE ORGANIZATION.

What is wrong with those questions? Nothing. People need to start investigating Ol' Grover because he is one dangerous dude.

20. Simpson is a crotchety, nasty, evil dude. But he isn't a dumbass and he will say what he thinks.
A lot of current and former Washington Republicans know deep down inside that this tea party anti-tax stuff is a bunch of bullshit and that one way or another, taxes will eventually have to be raised. The problem is, many of them will lie or refuse to admit it because they are towing the line. The difference between them and Alan Simpson is that he frankly doesn't give a shit about towing the party line. Alan Simpson is very aware of the math and he isn't one to bullshit people, right or wrong, he speaks his mind.

26. Just because he doesn't like Grover Cleveland doesn't make him
any better. You should learn a little more about him before you decide he's an 'okay guy'. He's not.

He is the one who called Seniors 'greedy old geezers' for not being 'willing to give up some of their SS benefits'. And he misrepresented SS more than anyone else I've ever seen when he claimed that the program represented '300 million tits with everyone feeding off it' or something to that effect. There were calls from tens of thousands of individuals and Organizations for the President to fire him for many of the things he said. But the WH chose not to.

He also said that veterans should be willing to give up some of their benefits because 'while they were heroes when fighting in Iraq, they are not heroes now by taking those benefits'.

He's a selfish, anti-Social Programs, moron and definitely a Republican.

I am happy to see Grover and Simpson going after each other however.

It's easy to see why two sides can never come together when no matter what one side says, even if it's something we agree with, we dismiss it.
