The human is an amazing animal
According to our tradition we're starting with a short story from the book
Old MacDonald's Factory Farm, written by C. David Coats.

Isn't man an amazing animal? He kills wildlife - birds, kangaroos, deer,
all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice, foxes, and dingoes - by
the million in order to protect his domestic animals and their feed.

Then he kills domestic animals by the billion and eats them. This in turn
kills man by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative
- and fatal - health conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, and cancer.

So then man tortures and kills millions more animals to look for cures for
these diseases.

Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are killed by hunger and
malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic
animals.

Meanwhile, some are dying of sad laughter at the absurdity of man, who
kills so easily and so violently, and once a year sends out cards praying for
"Peace on Earth".

1. What's your point? Tell that to those in N. Kenya and somalia who are starving.

3. more self-loathing pseudo-wisdom
Yep humans seek to eat, and don't care much what damage to other spcies it causes. So does every living thing - basic biological need. Why complain that we have become very effective at ensuring our food supply, in a way that other species, were they capable of envy, certainly would? And the usual hand-wringing crap about omnivores being omnivorous would be more meaningful if there were conclusive evidence eating like rabbits, cet par, had any effect on life expectancy (and no, don't be idiotic enough to prattle on about comparisons that find a difference, but only when the vegetarians are also non-smoking, non-drinking, sexually monogamous risk-avoiders liike 7th Day Adventists).

6. We'd also kill animals to protect produce for human consumption.

Why not include that on your list?
