The Ballad of Bradley Manning
I wrote this today. I'll have it put to music soon...

I outed their official lies
I’m caged as that’s what truth now buys
Lady liberty sits and cries
Helpless under darkened skies

You can take me
And you might rape me
I fall asleep they wake me
You can hate me
But you can’t make me
You will not shake me
Intimidate me
Or never ever break me
This I guarantee

I can see right through your game
You’re the ones with all the shame
You can’t make me go insane
You’re as irrelevant as pain

I am trapped here in a cell
But they’re the ones who’ll be in hell
Though my captors scream and yell
They’re the ones to blame for why our country fell.

You can take me
And you might rape me
I fall asleep they wake me
You can hate me
But you can’t make me
You will not shake me
Intimidate me
Or never ever break me
This I guarantee
