I have $ 250 to donate in 2012... |
|
I am sending $75 to Sherrod Brown because he is a good guy. I wish I could send more...
Then I am going to send the rest to 10 progressives across the country who have a chance of winning. I'm going to send it to people running for the House, people who can put up a good fight against any self professed tea bagger...
The big money people will handle the rest of the money for the usual suspects, the incumbents.
But if a couple thousand people like me divvy up their contributions to the top 20-25 progressives who have a chance to win, we can make a difference...
That's a lot of money for me, but I look at it as an investment in our future. I'll have to cut here and there, but it has to be done...

mid 70's... He was only about five years older than all of us.
He was a lot of fun then and later, when I was treasurer of the Cuyahoga County Democrats (Cleveland), I got to know he even better...

compete with Chamber of Commerce and the RW Crazies here. Give Local...the ground up makes the difference is what I'm thinking. The ones at the top don't need the money.
Problem is... How do you keep 'em honest...once they get to the big time and don't need our "small money" anymore.
That's what I worry about. But, any candidate who needs a start and isn't a Tea Party, RW Crazy...who seems to have Progressive, Dem values...is worth giving a start to... and then keep after them to see how they perform. What else can we do. It's important to do.
