John Stossel hosts "reporter" who wants to get rid of ALL drunk driving laws.
John Stossel had on his show a guy who runs a blog:

www.theagitator.com

But this Radley Balko wants *ALL* drunk-driving laws repealed, since it's the "reckless driving" according to him. Not the guy who's plowed. :eyes:

From his blog, it's painfully obvious this assclown hates all cops even more the the cop-bashers here.

Video of Stossel's show here:

3. Exactly! The free market would take care of this problem w/o any govt intrusion.

Look, would some company like Jack Daniel's want their product associated with disorderly, reckless, dangerous or lethal behavior? Of course they would not. Nor would Captain Morgan Rum, whose label features a cartoon pirate. Nor would 30-30 Tequila, whose label until recently featured line art of a lever action rifle of the same caliber. Accordingly, it's in their corporate interest to promote responsible social drinking and to instruct all those whom they do business with to promote the same. They would tell every retailer who wants to continue to carry their product, "Don't sell liquor to people with probable signs of alcoholism! -excuse me- I mean don't sell to people with the signs of "over enjoyment", or sell to known bad characters in the neighborhood. And the only force inhibiting this self-regulation of the marketplace is the perpetual meddling of Nanny State Bureaucrats! We Libertarians hold truths like this to be self-evident.

6. I didn't know they sold it in tanks. That must be wholesale.
The largest size I've seen so far was the "Family Jug."

8. Good Lord! I live in a state
(New Mexico) in which enforcement of drunk driving laws is totally a joke. And now there's someone out there who thinks we shouldn't have even the weak laws that exist?

10. This guy is nuts...
he has the right idea about reckless driving, but that doesn't mean throw out drunk driving laws. They are too weak as it is. Sleep deprived driving the example he used should also be subject to fines and jail time.
