Boehner blows it on jobs report
http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2011/08/05/boehner-blows-it-on-jobs-report/?iid=HP_Highlight

John Boehner doesn't let the jobs numbers get in the way of a political argument.

The July jobs report wasn't released until 8:30am this morning, but it looks like House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) wrote his reaction before seeing the actual numbers.
In a statement posted to his website, Bohener wrote:

"Today's unemployment report is more proof that all of the Washington spending, taxing, and regulating is devastating our economy. While the American people are asking 'where are the jobs?' the Democrats running Washington are determined to punish small businesses with higher taxes and more red tape – including hundreds of new regulations last month alone – and to keep their spending binge going at all costs. Instead of more jobs, they're creating more fear, more uncertainty, and more debt."

Really? Today's jobs numbers aren't anything to shout about, but they hardly reflect economic devastation. The economy added 117,000 new jobs, and the unemployment rate fell from 9.2% to 9.1%. Both were above consensus expectations, and the only actual decline was in the public-sector jobs (private sector added 145,000). Aren't Republicans in favor of smaller government?

2. I always enjoy it when people shoot
their mouth off before they have the information. This place is loaded with it but it's all the more satisfying when that POS orange asshole does it.

11. You got that right!
Yes, most of them will never even realize what happened, and if they never bother to get the real facts, they will continue on being right wing zombies who know only what the right wing tells them!

6. I noticed local right wing radio in Chicago had nothing to say about the
new jobs numbers but I bet if they were bad they would have been screetching from the rooftops.

10. Pffft! Facts. As if!
You can use so-called "facts" to prove anything that's even remotely true. What's important here is that John Boehner said something, and that it was hostile to the Democrats. That's the story. Facts are just going to cloud the issue, and make the media outlets look foolish for paying attention to Boehner. So let us dispense with those "facts," and attend to the business at hand, which is that a prominent Republican said Democrats are bad. Stop the presses!

Heh. I always wanted to say that.
