AK Gov. Sean Parnell proclaims Day of Prayer in nod to Texas governor.
I'm only posting this because the comments are pretty funny. http://www.adn.com/2011/08/05/2002318/parnell-in-nod-to-texas-governor.html

JUNEAU -- Alaska's governor has proclaimed Saturday a day of prayer for the nation, heeding a call from Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Gov. Sean Parnell cites Perry in the proclamation. Perry, who's considering seeking the Republican nomination for president, invited fellow governors to join him at a prayer event in Houston, Texas, Saturday. He also urged them to proclaim Aug. 6 a time to pray for "unity and righteousness." Parnell's spokeswoman said Parnell won't attend but issued a proclamation recognizing "we are a nation under trial of war, impacts of natural disaster, threat of more severe economic hardships, and that our families are under attack on many fronts."

The proclamation urges Alaskans to seek "God's face" and pray for the people of this nation and for the strength and wisdom of leaders.

3. I was wondering myself

if we would know "God's face" if we saw it. Didn't Jesus say something about "the least of these"? I would say God's face probably looks something like a homeless person...that is, if "he" even has a face at all.

5. Will Perry be natural born
Since Perry wants to succeed from the Union this will leave him out of being President of US because be will not be a natural born citizen. He follows along with tea baggers, don't know much about history.

8. every day is a day for prayer. leave it to those charlatans to make some organized event to
proclaim, like they're some wonderful spiritual leader, a specific day of prayer.

These folks don't even follow the "least of these" principle when thinking of policy, so they are to be scoffed at as selfish rich folks trying to appear righteous.
