The post was intended as inside baseball kind of stuff. I think the best strategy for a campaign when faced with essentially meaningless shit like this is to ignore it. To not ignore it is to have her campaign defending against charges that she's (always in quotes) "crazy".

Sometimes this strategy backfires.

She obviously is getting tremendous benefit from a full cover Newsweek piece, no matter how unflattering the picture. Giving kudos to a campaign for ignoring that is to deny the very careful manipulation that most here recognize in the campaign's response and Faux news will undoubtedly run with. Posting a "kudos" to the campaign without recognizing how they are attempting to play this seems to many here as having swallowed a "sucker" punch. The OP and most here are smarter than that, I certainly believe. The media and public once again are being "played." Sorry if I don't want to laud them for doing so.
