What do you get when you put Armando and David Waldman in a radio studio together? Beats me! But I can't wait to find out starting this Saturday.

The press release:

NEW YORK, NY– August 8, 2011 - Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced that it will launch a live, interactive four-week radio series with Daily Kos, the influential online progressive political community, news organization and activist hub.

Daily Kos Radio will launch on August 13 at 10:00 am ET, and air Saturdays through September 3 live from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm ET on liberal/progressive talk channel SiriusXM Left, ch. 127. Daily Kos contributing editors David Waldman and Armando Llorens will co-host the show from SiriusXM’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, breaking down headlines and issues with other members of the Daily Kos community to bring the interactive experience of the blogosphere to SiriusXM listeners coast to coast.

“SiriusXM Left, with its national reach and influence, is the perfect environment for the expansion of the Daily Kos brand to radio,” said Daily Kos creator Markos Moulitsas, who appears weekly on Mark Thompson’s SiriusXM Left show Make It Plain.

“Daily Kos Radio is the latest example of SiriusXM’s commitment to creating innovative political programming from across the spectrum,” said Jeremy Coleman, SVP, Talk and Entertainment Programming, SiriusXM. “Daily Kos Radio is a great addition to SiriusXM Left as the leading national voice for the progressive perspective on current events and politics, and we look forward to our listeners calling in live to the Daily Kos team.”

I swear by Sirius (long time subscriber), so I'm thrilled to see the Daily Kos brand extended to the network.
