Do you think that Pres Obama and his team are aware that he is being criticized as a weak president? |
|
And not just by us in the loony fringe, but also by the MSM. If they are aware, do they even care? Do they think that capitulating to the republicans will help his reelection? Or are they not monitoring the opinion pages and don't know what everyone is saying?

...to the appetite for rhetorical questions at DU? Do those asking them expect answers? Are they actually going to listen in the unlikely event they get one?

25. It's not a rhetorical question. It is however the WRONG question. |
|
BTW, He knows.
The proper question is: What payoff is he getting for being the punching bag of the facist right?

So he knew he was going to piss us off.

put SS and Medicare "on the table." He does NOT have our back.

7. I learned right here at DU |
|
that Predident Obama is so very urgently interested in the views, of regular folks, that he reads 10 (TEN!) citizen letters a day, hand scrutinized, individually selected , and fully edited by his Wall Street derived Staff.

20. Those 10 letters are only the ones that he personally writes out replies to. |
|
The letters are not edited, and they cover various issues.
He listens to more folks than only ten a day.
Please don't try to spin it into something that it is not.
How many handwritten letters is President Obama, in your opinion, supposed to write each day in order to gain your approval?

8. My eyes were opened after the Health Care issue. Here we were |
|
bitching he gave up too much, and Robert Gibbs was stunned. THEY were looking at it as a hard-fought accomplishment, first health care reform in years, did what he vowed to do during his campaign, etc. etc.
They look at it from the inside, they're the ones going through all the machinations, and to be fair, it always seems simpler to those outside looking in. But it struck me as a Venus/Mars type of disconnect. We often think the other side knows exactly how we feel, yet they are interpreting it through their own filter.
Just an observation. No comment on whether Obama is aware or cares about the "weak" charges, because I honestly don't know. Because I'm not on the "inside". :7

from dems....his mind is made up and closed to any other way of doing things...sometimes what he says is condescending...as in we have to eat our peas...that is a clue into his mind set...smarter than all the rest...and more mature since we all need a parent.

23. Some here admire his "Father Knows Best" style of governing. |
|
While some of us are fond of the "Of the people, by the people, for the people" style. A rather archaic notion but it still has it's adherents. Poor souls just don't understand, or appreciate, "practical" politics.

17. They both know and care. But they lack the political strategy to deal with it. |

Frankly, I am starting to blame Bill Clinton. As far as I am concerned, as the husband of the Secretary of State, he has an obligation to help his wife in her job, and one way he can do that is by giving some sensible advice to the folks in the White House. Either he is not talking---which means he is still in a snit about 2008---or they are not listening. Anyone know which it is?

30. Obama seems to think its a badge of honor, a show of strength to beat up on his own base |
|
He says he knows it will make a lot of Democrats angry - and he sees his strength as being directly proportional to that anger. He sees himself as a brave super hero willing to stand up to his own party - and he assumes if he does that somehow things will work out to the best - not because he has a plan for the future, but because he won't accept yes from his own party as an answer worth seeking out.
You vote for him if you like, I tried it once and it didn't work out for me.
