4. I would hope we'd be smarter, but given some of the threads here
supporting the riots, who knows.

5. The American people arent any smarter than all the other countries that
are revolting. We, like them, will wait until too late and then violence will break out. I dont condone violence nor do most on DU unlike your claim. Many talk about revolting but not violently. We need a movement now or we will end up with violence.

7. Here's one thread about supporting the London riots.

I've read other comments with similar sentiment. If you look a while, you will see what I mean.

Peace.

14. Thanks for the link. I hadnt seen it. And I wish for peace also, but...
when our corporate overlords start to deny us our right to be free, then we have to act. So far I cant see a way to use "the system" against them. They own "the system".

I neither condone violence nor think it will be successful, but it's inevitable when people realize they have no alternative.

6. No jobs, austerity programs and large ethnic communities.
The riots could well happen in the U.S. withing a couple of years. Go teabaggers!

8. If these 'riots' were happening in wealthy areas, they'd have lasted 5 minutes
Something a little strange about all this
