My Dinner Time Conversation...

My wife and I have had a busy day so she sent me down to the local pub that has the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches on the west coast, they are to die for....Anyhow I called the order in and drove down to pick the sandwiches up. I walked in and they had three flat screens on ESPN,one on a local channel and the other on MSNBC with FAST EDDIE in Madison.

Well tonight the bar idiot showed up and was bitchin about how democrats are trying to impose their values on the whole of Wisconsin and that UNIONS are the best example of socialism and they cost the taxpayers bigtime. He said unions have no right to require all workers to join them to get a job and blaaah blaaah blaahh blaah.....He was a union memeber.

I waited for him to shut up and told him...."If you don't like unions then stay away from union shops when you have to look for work,no one requires you to apply there....and take a moment to think about how many benefits you are getting as a result of a union shop"... I grabbed my order and told him he had a lot to think about and left.

The guy showed me his IQ with his middle finger as I walked out the door.

2. Last week I was at a local bar with some friends
and a similar right wing crazy guy was ranting. Some guy came out of no where and layed him out flat. Was it right, that I can't say, was it funny, hell yes it was funny.

3. My late MIL also said that to me and DH
During the time of the Auto bailouts. She was complaining about unions and my FIL who was an auto worker had a triple bypass about 4 years back and due to complications, he was in the hospital for about 2 months. I said to her that if it wasn't for unions and his retiree health insurance, they would've been homeless. She kept quiet after that.
