Wisconsin lacks a real 24/7 news radio station - thank the Telecommunications Act
CNN and MSNBC are showing replays. Fox News...bleh same but terribly unreliable. At least WBBM-AM in Chicago, Illinois (close enough to Wisconsin) had an update at the top of the half hour. Still no word whether Democratic candidate for WI State Senate District 8, Sandy Pasch, has conceded, but it's already been called that 4 of the 6 challenged Republican state senators will stay for their terms.

Next week is the Democratic recall election, is it not?

Anyway, Wisconsin Public Radio Ideas Network had only 2 hours of coverage during primetime before going overnight with BBC World Service. So is WUWM, the NPR station owned by University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. WTMJ-AM in Milwaukee replayed Clark Howard. WXXM-FM "92.1 the Mic", a liberal Madison talk station, is rerunning Mike Malloy. Other right-wing talk stations have George Noory's conspiracy theory show Coast to Coast AM. I am astounded that Wisconsinites who want to hear real news have to hurt their ears (or be brainwashed) with trash talk before getting any news, traffic, or weather, and they have to live in southeastern Wisconsin to hear an actual news station...that's based in another state! I looked up all generic news stations on radio-locator.com format search, none were based in Wisconsin.

I think the Telecommunications Act, which loosened rules for corporate media ownership. That's why the corporations can spread their Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck/Sean Hannity propaganda trash talk every freakin' where in this country and strip radio of local control. It's why you can hear the same crappy pop music anywhere even in that remote small town where you're vacationing or visiting family.
