Woman Arrested for Taping Police Cleared; Apple Wants "Kill Switch" for Camera Phones
Don't think this has been posted yet...

"Apple is developing software that can detect when iPhone owners are using their cameras and disable the function, a report last week discovered.

The technology would trigger an infrared sensor, like the kind that is often installed at concert venues, which would instruct the iPhone to shut off its camera. Apple filed the patent application 18 months ago in California, but only became public knowledge after the Daily Mail uncovered the documents."

8. Blame it on the RIAA
Basically Apple had to show that there was a method to prevent the recording of artists in concert. Otherwise it would mean that no cellphones would be allowed in any concert venue.

And Apple is not the only smartphone manufacturer who will need to kowtow to the RIAA's demands.

Don't forget that the RIAA is also the force behind the file-sharing witch hunts.

9. Precisely
I bet that you could wrap it in aluminum foil before entering a concert & take all the photos you want, then transmit them later. Just guessin'

10. There are some pretty good pocket cameras that way out preform any cell phone camera.
And no worry about anyone programing them to not do any paid for function.
