When we needed everyone pushing in the same direction...
the Republicans were pulling in the opposite direction.

After a near collapse of our economy, they still refused to help get this country on the right track. Either they are living in a parallel universe or they just don't give a damn?

They thought it more important to block this President at every turn than to help this country back to its feet. They gave more importance to making President Obama a one-term President than they did to saving this country.

That is the truth of the matter.

They have prevented jobs from being created. They have prevented taxes from being increased to help bring down the deficit. They have blocked oil companies from giving up their subsidies. They have blocked private jet owners from paying more in taxes. They have threatened to not give working people unemployment compensation to survive on. They have threatened to let this country default. In any other universe but their own, they would be called traitors.

And they want to control this government. With the help of the Supreme Court and their decision about no limits to campaign contributions (Citizens United), they are well on their way. A large portion of the American people have fallen under their spell. There is a bad moon on the rise.

2. All this is true, Kentuck.
McConnell admitted their treachery when he said his most important job was to ensure Obama doesn't get re-elected. They are loyal to their nation only, the Republican States of America. You can see this in everything they do and say.

Lest they forget.

4. Which is why we need to all push TOGETHER behind Obama.... divided we fall

Calling for a primary challenge aids and abets Republicans.

Attacking the President aids and abets Republicans.

They're evil. And when we shoot out own, we only help them.

5. That's one way to look at it...
Some might say that the President and the Congress should get behind the majority of Democrats. A lot of issues they seem to be in the minority. Of course, the people are not going to get behind the President if he says he wants to cut Medicare or Social Security or give more tax breaks to the wealthy. But these intra-party disputes are not the same as the Republicans pulling us over the cliff.

8. Obama's call to "trim" Social Security & Medicare ALSO aids and abets Republicans
Far more so than any call for a primary challenge.

Paul Ryan's plan to cut medicare vs. Obama's plan to cut medicare... leave only the choice to cut medicare. Meanwhile, the Single Payer activists that Obama wouldn't even give a seat at the table to during HCR... could've provided an actual alternative... since a Single Payer system would control costs effectively enough to provide more health care and keep the costs of medicare from increasing at the alarming pace that the private health care delivery system entails.

So... get Obama to stop "shooting our own" ... and maybe talk of primary challenges will end.

6. And the beauty of it is that it is all on tape. Come fall we have all we
need to make our ads count. And it will be in their own voices. I am sorry that we have come to this but they have been sitting back there for decades just waiting for this moment. They seem to be winning right now but as things get worse our ads using their own words are going to resonate loud and clear.

7. We ALMOST are, which is why I think Obama is getting too much
grief for not doing more.
The taking back of two seats in Wisconsin last night was a good sign. I know people are sick of saying give him more time, but maybe just a little more?!
I feel we are so close.
