Will presidential elections be like Survivor from now on? |
|
Since 2004 there's been no shortage of candidates for president. Dems had 10 in 2004. Dems and republicans had like 20 in 2008. This year the republicans have 13 so far. So is this the way forward? Will primaries be battle royals from now on? I think it's possible. Candidates that are semi-serious get great publicity out of it. Sometimes they even get a VP nomination (Biden).

It's great publicity unless you have some crazy skeletons in the closet. It might have even gotten Ron Pauls son elected senator.

I don't think politicians will learn that from Survivor contestents.
I think Survivor contestents learned that from politicians.

Lots of people want the big prize, like buying lottery tickets.
