How long before the MSM acknowledges that Perry is full of shit when it comes to jobs? If ever?

7. We did avoid the housing crisis.
Housing prices did not become unaffordable here like they did everywhere else. It is only now that foreclosures are rising here and that is due to depressed wages and unemployment.

Krugman pointed out this week that Texas actually regulates its lenders quite effectively.

9. The CNN Story
Some would argue that the CNN story was at least decent. Two people were interviewed for the story. The first was a person from the Center for Public Priorities (CPP). The second person was an executive with the company Virtual Computing Environment (VCE). The person from CPP pointed out that Texas was #1 in low wage jobs, #1 in lack of health insurance, and in the middle in unemployment. The executive from VCE was quoted as saying the company chose Texas because of the Texas Enterprise Fund, which was created by Texas Governor Rick Perry. It was also pointed out that Texas paid VCE $2.5 million to create 400 high-wage jobs. It was not discussed how much those jobs paid.

It was later pointed out that Perry had claimed a health care company was relocating from Arkansas to Texas and that the company would create 100 jobs. The reporter for the story pointed out that the health care company said it would actually relocate 50 jobs to Texas and create 50 more jobs in Texas. Toward the end of the story it was stated that one-fourth of the jobs created in Texas had been government jobs in the form of teaching jobs that were needed to keep up with population growth in Texas. It was also stated that part of the job growth in Texas was due to high energy costs.
