breaking news election in november 2012 |
|
howdy everyone i live in deep red florida in a red county we had a democratic rep once long ago but it was so long ago that the rep he replaced was almost to his left i will be working to build the party here in my area and i am going to the party this year to ask for a special push in our area we are under represented as most of our party doesnt turn out not thinking they can win we lose enough votes every cycle to turn the seat and i think a concentrated effort ,now, to convince people to vote in their own best interests could flip the seat. i will be trying to get as many to the booth as possible. i need all of us from the guy with a roman candle in his buttcrack shooting rockets that explode into "obama bites" to the guy with the roman candle in his buttcrack shooting rockets that say "no, he doesnt, and here is another guy with a roman candle in his buttcrack shooting rockets that list the reasons why in fact he does not bite. unless of course you mean in the context of biting associated with chewing, in which case, yes he does indeed bite" to go out and find yourself somegood down ticket democrats to support.if you are like me you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying except your time. if we could get some good downticket players we could end up with a congress more representative of ourselves.i intend to see the left wing of the party is heard and listened to locally and then i think the upticket stuff eventually settles out if we build it from the bottom up we can remake it i will be watching school board races county commision races town councils looking for the people to push for. those little crap jobs are the basis of an awful lot of the players on state and natonal levels. your congressman was your state senator was your county commisioner was your city councilman i will be working to get the right councilmen and the right commisioners in those jobs with the intention they move further up the ladder. i am going to enable good progressive democrats to run and (cross fingers )win by telling the truth to the voters find something local and make it go

I think we need to look into the races at the lowest level in 2012. I would like to see a challenge in the primary to Obama because I think he is too sure of himself and needs a little more than a nudge from progressives.
But the really big push has to be to get people into Congress who are as progressive as possible.
Keep us posted on your progress and on which candidates you like.

3. I think Obama knows EXACTLY how things stand! |

And he knew a lot better than many here on DU, the value of the cards he had been dealt, as well as the avalanche of $$$$$$$$ that's being deployed against him. Likewise, with his assessment of the Blue Dogs. Some but not all, are DINOs. Gabrielle Gifford is also a Blue Dog, remember her?
FDR, a truly wily politician, famously said to his troops: "Make me!", The OP is on the right track. Organize from the bottom up, a multitude of noisy and ornery agitators & legislators such as once adorned the New Deal
