Man Asks Pedestrian for $1, Then Stabs Him
Police are looking for a man who stabbed a pedestrian on Long Island after asking him for a dollar.

Nassau County police say the 27-year-old victim was walking on Nassau Road in Roosevelt on Monday evening when the suspect approached and asked him for one dollar.

The victim said he didn't have any money and continued walking.

Police say the suspect followed him and then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach and hand multiple times.

"Sorry, I don't carry cash anymore."

We need an updated, debit/credit card version of a policy my old college town had: it turned old parking meters into donation spots for the local shelter.

2. Don't care
If I go into the city with my lovey this weekend as planned - I'll still have a couple of bucks in my pocket. That guy was the 'odd one'.

If a human being tells me he/she is hungry I believe them. My conscious won’t allow me otherwise. I’ve also been known to buy street meat, cartons of milk, something like that while in a conveniences store.

In all of my 38 years I’ve yet to encounter one of the ‘odd one’ homeless or working poverty people so I’ll keep expecting the good from fellow human beings by offering good. I hope this turns out to be someone who is actually NOT homeless or the working poverty. And just a common crook taking advantage of the people who live in poverty in America as a way to find a weak victim.
