Today was election day (a repub and Democratic primary) for some Board of Supervisor elections |
|
here in Northern Va. I arrived at 7-something and was voter #8. Other than my oldest son, no one was present. 3 of the 4 candidates running where actually at the poll handing out literature and shaking hands. I would be happy with either one of the 2 Democratic candidates running and felt silly picking one over the other. I never miss voting.

1. Isn't it illegal for candidates to do that within a polling place? |
|
I know it is here in NY, had to leave my Kerry buttons in my car when I went in to vote. They're still there. :(
Kudos to you for voting! :patriot: :hi:

2. They were outside (the proscribed 100 feet away) forming a gauntlet that voters have to run. n/t |

3. I would still think that would be illegal, if they blocked entrance to the polling place. |

I remember seeing one local candidate outside the polling place in all my years of voting, and she was by herself. Around here, I've found that most local races are decided by party. :(
