It's ironic in light of GWB's numerous vacations that the Obamas are being criticized
for taking too much time on vacation.

>>Expensive massages, top shelf vodka and five-star hotels: First Lady accused of spending $10m in public money on her vacations

The Obamas' summer break on Martha's Vineyard has already been branded a PR disaster after the couple arrived four hours apart on separate government jets.

But according to new reports, this is the least of their extravagances.

White House sources today claimed that the First Lady has spent $10million of U.S. taxpayers' money on vacations alone in the past year.

Branding her 'disgusting' and 'a vacation junkie', they say the 47-year-old mother-of-two has been indulging in five-star hotels, where she splashes out on expensive massages and alcohol.<<

4. It's not ironic, it's part of the plan...
...it's always okay for Republicans to take excessive vacation time. Then when a Democrat gets into the same office, the Republicans start the hue and cry and get an ignorant, lazy, bought & paid for press to parrot their "concerns".

It's how they roll.

It's very effective. It gets discussed on Faux "news", it gets written about on conservative blogs, it gets passed around in conspiratorial emails, and the next thing you know the accepted wisdom is that Obama is the most vacationin' prezident EVAH!

Then when the right wing blowhards go on the talk shows and spout off about it, no one corrects them, because they know they are going against the tide anyway.

And at that point the ignorant populace accepts it because they can see that it's what everyone is saying, so it must be true. Right?

Works like a charm. It's their stock in trade and they do it very well.

5. Even more so considering that the Republican Congress
enacted rules giving them one week of vacation for every two they work. This from Rachael's comments on Letterman last night.
This needs to be broadcast as loud and far as possible.

12. It is a right- wing newspaper, and the story is based on the National Enquirer
My guess is that 99 percent of it is fabricated.

Are you sure you want to align yourself with these two publications to score political points?

14. Obama made a huge political error by vacationing at Martha's Vinyard while the economy teeters
That has not a thing to do with the National Enquirer.

15. I just read the whole article. Smear job on the First Lady, and I doubt that any of it is true.
The whole thing reads like a wing nut fantasy.

have to fork over for the royal wedding? I'm guessing this is a right wing rag as so many of their papers are.
