This Ron Reagan guy has a lot to learn about hosting Hardball... |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-24-11 06:19 PM by senseandsensibility
He actually lets people finish their answers without interrupting. Then he pauses for a beat or two as if he's thinking about their words before he asks the next question. When he's hosting, you can hear all the questions and all the guests' answers.
Weird...maybe he'll learn the basics someday.

1. Hahahaha, I thought that the other day and wondered if Tweety was |

watching and maybe getting a clue. Love the Ron.

5. Unfortunately, I doubt if Tweety is learning anything, but |
|
I have noticed that he respects Ron, and lets him finish his answes when he's a guest.

Some day Malia and Sasha will be professional women and the daughters of a past president. I wonder if they will be treated the same. Just a question that popped into the head.

Tweety only hero worships past Republican presidents, it seems. Well, he is also in awe of Caroline Kennedy. Let's face it...he's just star struck.

9. He's not really that partisan... |
|
He simply talks common sense and sometimes the other side does not look very well.... He is fair to both sides.

21. He's certainly fair, and maybe not |
|
overtly partisan, but I can still tell where he's coming from. I appreciate his reasonable tone, though, and his voice isn't shril. I think that helps him seem less partisan.

31. This is the world where my parents lived - where people of both parties could be |
|
On TV, discussing issues in a reasonable tone of voice, and no one expressing having views that are total Far RW whack-job crazy.
My parents voted for Nixon, and every single family they knew socially and were friends with voted for the Kennedy. They had debates and discussions a-plenty.
And no one got mad at one another.
Some twenty years later, Playboy had snippets of Nixon's speeches next to Kennedy's, and it was not possible to tell which man had said what till you looked up the answers in the back of the magazine.

Hard not to think of that sometimes, or how the world would be different if Gore had been allowed to take office.

22. I'm sold on him as a host. But I fear TPTB won't |
|
let him have a show because his behavior isn't controversial enough.
I'd watch him if he had his own program, though.

30. In a just and fair world, 2012 would see |
|
Ron Reagan, standard bearer for the Republicans, facing off RFK Jr, standard bearer for the Democrats.
However, since both of these people witnessed their dads being shot on TV ad nauseum, it will not come to pass. And believe me, they got the message.
So as far as the Uber Elite goes, "Mission Accomplished."
