3. Hadn't heard the term since Moore's "Capitalism".
Actually, I hope it's true. Big $$$ looks on teachers as peasants.(e. Gates, Broad, et al) And fuels a lot of the antagonism toward the profession from that standpoint.


A lot of know-nothings ( Duncan and the rest) then hop on board the anti-teacher bandwagon. "Dead Peasant" status might be a good rhetorical tactic from the POV of the good guys.

I hope he actually said it.
