2. Law makers should take note of that.
The truth is, many people see the east coast airports as a cess pool. Gross, gross. I was in the Dubai International airport recently, Now that's an airport. We get crumbs.

7. they ARE a cesspool...
old (and it shows) and continually dirty. i know they get a lot of traffic, but ATL gets more traffic and is a MUCH cleaner airport.

13. A little personal responsibility too. How many of those people abuse these places because
its just nasty so who cares type of utilization. Budget cuts def don't help to keep the city sparkly clean.

Its too bad that the Govt couldn't think of hiring people at a sustainable, living wage to clean, maintain, and build up what is needed to keep NY more appealing. Its a major hub of the world. If NY is a tourists first impression of the USA, most would think we are all dirty, old, smelly pigs.

18. I'm not sure either.. but there is a difference between NE clean and SE clean.
Its one thing my mom always commented on as she travelled south to see us for college (now I'm in FL and she flies direct into Tampa). Somewhere around VA, the rest stops became cleaner...She always told us to hold it thru NJ. LOL.

4. What a tool.. And who will risk life and limb to go out to clean these places?
The lowly proles.. too many of them anyway... always wanting good schools and retirement.

6. Another reason why the disconnected "news" people shouldn't be paid
millions to report on the masses or why they should be believed. Millionaire Fourth Estate members should not exist.

12. Imagine if they spent some of that money of reporting news around the country and the world.
If it doesn't happen in DC or NY, news is barely covered ever. The only time they go to report on a story is if there is a Hurricane coming in somewhere or if we are the beginning stage of a bombing brown people campaign.

They really do seem to operate within a bubble.

8. lol
Penn Station is actually pretty clean. They'd need 500 employees to clean that place in the time frame given.

10. I'm actually surprised that the movie industry isn't
storming NYC for some serious footage of AN EMPTY CITY PLUS SUBWAYS STOPPED...ETC
FOR a movie about the the end of days....lol

11. Not sure that they would place their equipment in the line of potential loss.
Movie action is not cheap; besides would they really get the Hollywood stars to work during a Hurricane?

14. I meant just footage of an EMPTY NEW YORK CITY...it's bound
not to happen again in my lifetime. Sort of the same theory the movie industry has on filming buildings that are being imploded. Didn't mean to imply
that any stars would be present

20. And what makes you think he didn't "work a day in his life?"
He's from a middle-class family in New Jersey. His first job was as a busboy in a pancake house.
