That corporations are US citizens or have citizenship.

3. The claim is that corporations are recognized as "persons".
Not citizens.

4. And it is against federal law for anyone besides a US citizen
to have an influence on American elections
So they would have to be a US citizen

5. Not to split hairs, but . . . .

I think it's implied they're "citizens" if they're incorporated within this country. For example, I don't think Toyota can make political contributions like Halliburton can.

OTOH if I'm wrong, please give me a reference so I can use it in the future.

7. Citizens United is a piece of garbage law however
I do not believe the court ever used the term 'citizen' in their ruling
they referred to them as 'persons'

And how would we ever know where the money came from because the
records on a lot of contributions is secret
Toyota could be funneling millions into the Chamber and
we would never know

The CEO of Halliburton works and resides in Dubai

8. Many if not most rights given by the Constitution are for people not citizens.

They apply equally to any person within our borders, not just US citizens...That is a fact many on the right especially tea baggers don't seem to understand.

10. angry dragon was reading my mind
I wondered about how they had the right to make political contributions affecting our elections. Foreign nationals are prohibited from doing so.
