We are destroying our environment
And people gravitate to the teat that the media feeds us. What scares us most we love.

Species are dying in front of us, but of course it doesn't matter.

A tropical storm hits and we panic.

We have a 1000 fold Hiroshima crises and a 100,000 times three mile island and nobody blinks.

Feed your children the milk. I see.

Species are dying and the death toll in Texas dwarfs the tropical storm; the long term death toll from nuclear malfeasance goes unreported,,,,,,

But the corporations live on, and they profit from paranoia.

Global warming will destroy Texas and the environment but nary a peep here.

I believe some want Perry to be President.

We have turned over our national well being to the profiteers. They sold us

1. Unfortuantely the environment is being put on the back burner..
This economy, the wars, the politics and the various crises du jour all take precedence. I am afraid by the time it cant be ignored, it will be too late.

3. Man - The only species that allows its kind to
foul its dens and then celebrates and rewards those that do the most fouling.

That's why I don't really like to consider myself homosapiens sapiens. It would be cool to be a Homosapiens Superior (Marvel Mutants)
but I prefer Homosapiens Lupus Daemon or perhaps just HomoLupus Daemon.

5. Right on! Its all about numbers and proportion.
We have these huge threats long term and nobody moves, but these short term spectacular threats merit wild responses. It really was right what Al Gore said about the slowly boiled frog.

6. It's really simple. You don't have to look outside of yourself.
Until people decide to stop having children for a while, the mess will continue. It's not media. It's not the corporations. It's you.

Of course now that we're in this mess, yes the media and corporations play a role in using the massive population to buy their poisonous junk. But that's a different subject. That is a different subject. That is a different subject. I don't think people realize this. And until world population decreases, that different subject will still be there. No one is going to stop driving. No one is going to stop taking hot showers. And all of those things people do are damaging in these numbers.

Now go ahead and scream at me. I'm wrong. It's not true. Bla, bla, bla.
