Has it occurred to anyone that the republicans are essentially using losers? |
|
Take a look at the "profiles" of these activists for the republicans..... you need not limit yourself to the ones who have committed acts of violence.
They are specifically targeting people who can not function in life. People who can't hold down a job, people who still live with mom and dad, high school drop outs, and people who have otherwise had trouble making it in society.
They get them all hyped up and tell them that it's the democrats fault they are in that boat. (even though it was largely republican policy that landed them there)
They are also targeting young people who have not yet built a life for themselves.
Basically all the elements of society that are easily manipulated.
I wonder if it has occurred to the republicans that these people are just as likely to turn on them as they are on democrats?

1. It occurred to 4 Republicans in AZ who all quit their posts this week |
|
out of fear of violent rhetoric from the Tea Party.
Several links about it here.
I would say thats pretty telling.

|
Never mind - carry on. I thought the OP was talking about targeting voters.

9. he seems to be an insane individual who |
|
had deep seated hatred for Congresswoman Giffords. That there were Tea Party members on the corner across from her office with signs that read "One way or another, You're gone" may or may not be significant. Now of course, I'm paraphrasing because I don't know if the average Tea Party member knows the difference between your and you're. Be that as it may, according to news reports, he planned to assassinate her. And I thought the OP was talking about targeting politicians.

7. What other motive would the right have to use reference to murder in their campaign ads? |
|
When you hear "second amendment remedies" what image comes to mind? Assassination or murder. Everyone reacts to that phrase the same way.
So why would anyone say it? They know damn well there are people out there who would take the phrase literally as a suggestion that someone should kill the opponent if he/she wins.
