I would like Obama to counter the Right wing nonsense with a vision out of the Democratic platform rather than lukewarm centrism, but he is not responsable for what comes out of the mouths of greedy bastards like them.

I think instead he should explain the need the people have for a well funded government and explain how a WPA style program would put people back to work thus kick-starting the economy while at the same time address the problems created for this country by job killing outsourcing made profitable by trade agreements.

It is true he is dropping the ball on that by endorsing more free trade and other Republican Ideas but such a tone as the OP describes would be better suited for his opponents in congress (Much like Kennedy did when he asked "When is it enough?" "When does the greed end".)

Stick to the issues where Obama is on the wrong side and let him know why those right wing ideas are toxic, don't just blame him for what comes out of the mouths of assholes.

care. He would have also fought to continue arguing DOMA in court while not "defending it" (like the case of deportation of a married man because of DOMA)
