Banana Republic USA: Meet the 25 CEOs Who Make More Than Their Companies Pay In Taxes
he Institute for Policy Studies has a revealing new report out today, “Executive Excess 2011: The Massive CEO Rewards for Tax Dodging.” Among key findings: at 25 companies “chief executive compensation actually ran higher than the company’s entire federal corporate income tax bill.” Before jumping into the details, let’s look at who these 25 modern day robber barons are:

"We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world." -- Michelle Bachmann last month in Iowa.

"We need to lower the corporate tax rates from 35% to 25%." -- Romney last month in Iowa.

5. It is kind of amazing until you find out they wake up every day waiting for their e-mail
From Rush Limbaugh telling them what "talking point" they should use today, so that it coincides with his radio program.
Since that is what he is going to talk about for 3 hours that day.

Two of Rush's more famous e-mail buddys in radioland are Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, who hammer home the exact same talking points on the exact same topic on the exact same day, day after day.
So, no matter who the Republicans listen to on their radios, they hear the same thing and think "well, everyone is saying it, so it must be true."

And that is how they got the "Obama was not born in the United States" meme spread so far so fast as they did.
