I Hope OBAMA mentions Rush,Beck, and Palin Tonight in Tuscon

....Not directly but in such a fashion that everyone in America knows just who he is talking about... I hope he calls for an end to all language on the public/cable airways that incites violence and calls for healthy conversation that restores America back to the powerhouse it once was......

......Time to end the HATE....

3. He's only going to talk about the victims and be apolitical.
At least that is what I've heard.

21. It's what Clinton did and what is classy
Call for tolerance and an end to violent rhetoric in politics is about as radical as you are likely to hear from him and it may not even come from him tonight.

Let the pigs roll in the mud. You're the president you don't have to do it, and Obama has always had to much class to go there anyways.

18. It's hard to believe that anyone would have to wonder what he will say.
He never veers from bipartisanship BS. To add to my irritation he'll preface remarks about bipartisanship with the phrase 'there are folks'.

With particular regard to the constant barage of hate and propaganda from the RW media.

11. I hope not. Bringing politics into what is supposed to be a Eulogy would be totally inappropriate.
Edited on Wed Jan-12-11 05:21 PM by scarletwoman
I don't want him to do anything more than make a few high-minded noises about "unity" -- which is exactly what I expect he will do.

Anything else would be tacky and out of place. People are in mourning, they don't need political messages at their memorial service.

Tonight is not the time, and that is not the place. Maybe during his SOTU, but not tonight.

20. +1000 making this political would be totally inappropriate and unacceptable.
If he would make this political, which he never would, then he would be no better than the right wing hate mongers.

You know, those few of us that are standing up for ourselves.

He is afraid of the right.

16. I expect Obama to once again shine here
If you give the man credit for NOTHING ELSE - he has BEEN and has SET the example that most of us claim we want to see. I have never seen as much vitrol, hate, rhetoric, outright lies and bullshit that has been thrown at this man and yet he remains calm and steady. It shows me what he's made of - very remarkable. I thought what they did to Clinton was over the top, but all of that paled in comparison.

Called out as a liar in his State of the Union speech? WHEN has that ever happened to another president before? I'm very calm and laid back - and I might have lost it on that one. And, actually, I did lose it in my living room watching the thing - sent as much money as I could to Joe Wilson's opponent, unfortunately to no avail.

Edited on Wed Jan-12-11 05:36 PM by Urban Prairie
These whackjob rightwing troublemakers do not need any further acknowledgement nor legitimization whatsoever, especially by a POTUS, IMO.

At least not by name, but if he says anything, I hope that he may just generalize, by stating being opposed to the promotion/endorsement of violence and violent behavior by those who have influence in the media, however.

He'll most likely make a general reference to political vitriol but will stay away from specifics.

Their names don't deserve to pass his lips.
