Cheney's Kiss of Death For Hillary Clinton
CHENEY: I have the sense that she’s one of the more competent members of the current administration, and it would be interesting to speculate about how she might perform if she’d be president… but I don’t want to be in the position where I’m supporting Hillary Clinton. That might be the kiss of death for her.

4. This meant meant to kill her off in 2012
Making sure that if she tries, the far left does NOT accept her. They will do the same for any left wing candidate that appears promising (as opposed to a nader.)

9. True, but if Hillary learned anything from her time in the WH, it was how to fight the
"Vast Right Wing Conspiracy." They don't scare her. Unlike the current Prez who kowtows to their every threat/whim.

12. They dont scare her
But she happens to agree with enough of them on many key issues that she does not need to fight them. Dare I say, on labor day weekend, whose idea Nafta was?, or "welfare reform?", or repealing Glass-Steagal, or the Fairness doctrine? remember, even ol buddy bill said they were "two for the price of one." And let's not even ponder the sight of Bill triumphantly marching into the White House without a clue as to why the left is pissed at him, planning to "use" the Lincoln Bedroom for lord knows what.

And no, I am not a GOP troll. If somehow Hillary was the democratic candidate, I would pull the lever for her, I would take a long, hot shower afterword, but I would. The Democrats may be purgatory, but the GOP is hell, even someone like Mittens will be too eager to appease the Koches.

6. But --
he knows he's reviled.

So if he praises Hillary he knows that will sink her.

So that means he really wants Obama.

Unless that's just what he wants us to think.

hmmmmm

Better play it safe --

13. From a jail cell. Prison is for after he has been convicted. And I
assume you believe enough in the principle of reasonable bail that you would allow it for Darth while he awaits trial? (Cheney could pledge his shares of Haliburton as his bail :)

16. I'm assuming conviction.
I do know how the "justice" system works, thanks.

No bail for Darth. The poor are stuck in jails for less than mass murder.

20. Yah, good point about the bail situation and the poor. Not sure
the solution to that problem is to deny bail to those able (like Darth) to fork it over, but I'm with you :)

15. Dick Cheney recognizes a war monger when he sees one.
And if there ever was a Democratic war monger, it is Hillary.

If you saw the video of Hillary and Code Pink that used to be available on the internet prior to the 2008 election, you would know what I mean. War monger, that is what Hillary is, and that is why I could never support her for any office.

21. No Just Something to Get the Idiot Masses Riled Up About
Because nothing is going to get former Clinton supporters to the voting booth for Obama AGAIN like seeing "left" and "liberal" voters trashing her four years later.

22. Like Dems should be guided by CHEENEE?!1 But beyond that, Hillary
Edited on Mon Sep-05-11 10:32 AM by UTUSN
is tired. She has taken fire for a couple or more decades. I supported her in the primaries, saw her in person at a rally and she gave it her all and says it herself that she's had it.

But back to point #1: Yeah, like CHEENEE really has Dem best interest close to his heart - snarf.

Footnote: After the primaries I threw in my lot wholeheartedly with OBAMA, and in the past three years have found myself more supportive than what many of his original primary supporters are.
