Poll question: Who will be the the next President? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-08-11 06:53 AM by ThomWV
The question is simple enough. Presuming that no one else will be jumping into the race which of these do you think will win the 2012 election?

1. Given the players right now I'd love to see Obama come out for jobs in a big way - |
|
some sort of federal jobs program that would put a lot of people back to work immediately. Otherwise I fear the right is going to center around Perry and the moderates will go for him (because of the economy). I hope I'm wrong.

21. Hell, HBO couldn't be bothered to keep that going--that or DEADWOOD. |
|
Two huge errors on their part. Oh, wait--ROME--they cut that one off at the pass, too!
Hope they don't do something stupid like that w/BOARDWALK EMPIRE.

27. I'm not too impressed with HBO's antics myself |
|
We've currently got Season 1 of Carnivale here in the UK and I'd already twigged we'll get Season 2 but 3 don't exist. :(
Rome we got all of - that was a UK/Italian production.

5. Depends on who's running in 2016. |
|
Because that's who'll be the "next" President.
Obama is still the Prez and likely will be after this election.

6. I voted for Obama before and will do it again BUT he is not the president I voted for |
|
In this case he is the lesser of many evils as far as who runs this country.

7. If the pukes had the WH and congress, do you really really really think they're going to go cutting |
|
SS and medicare?
IT seems like once they got those positions back, they'd want to keep those positions. Rather that do stuff that makes them look real bad to voters, I think they'd do mostly regulation cutting and oil expansion. Basically the same thing that the current administration is doing.

14. Yeah I read it. That's why I replied with what I did. |
|
SS and medicare is being threatened under this administration by the pukes and an administration that isn't standing up for working people and the people that depend on SS and medicare.

I don't know if he'll be the president but he'll be the puke nominee. That's my prediction.

I don't know if he'll be President or not either, but I'd say the odds are in his favor.

He's the Least Crazy of the crazies, has very little in the way of a record so he is a tabula rasa, and he has those Ken Doll looks.
And, for the easily distracted by the trivial, he drives a manly man motorcycle!!! Oh la la!!!

26. He's "the OTHER Mormon" though--way less offensive than Mittsy. |
|
At least, so far as we know...the oppo research is just beginning, I am sure.
If he has/had a grampa who had a zillion wives and ran to Mexico to escape justice, well, that could be an interesting diversion.
In the Mormon wars, Huntsman has one thing over Mittsy--he has never, so far as I know, strapped a setter to the roof of his car for an eight hour drive to an annual CANADIAN (not even 'Murican, gol darn it) vacation! If the dog abuse wasn't enough, the failure to holiday within our borders (repeatedly, over generations, in fact) might piss off the wingnuts when it comes to Mittsy. If Huntsman has a beloved pooch, Mittsy had best start sweating!

13. I don't think Rove has tapped anybody yet. It'll be interesting to see who he brings in at the |
|
11th hour. Given that he's at odds with pretty much all the frontrunners. I'm thinking it'll probably be Jeb or he'll swallow his pride and back Huntsman or Romney.

The only other Democrat other than Obama I would vote for would be Hillary Clinton or Dennis Kucinich if they should run.
