Ron Paul says he'd consider putting Dennis Kucinich in his Cabinet
Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) says he would consider putting the liberal congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) in his Cabinet if he were to win the presidency in 2012.

Paul said his libertarian political philosophy helps him connect with some on the far left — including Kucinich, who shares Paul’s general anti-war stance.

Paul joked that if he brought the Ohio congressman aboard in his administration, he might have to create a "Department of Peace."

2. This will infuriate the Tealiban
Ron Paul is an also-ran by all definitions and has no chance but this isn't going to sit well with his biggest fans.

Correct, gratuitous. Make the next selection.

If he were running (again) for President. They seem to like each other a lot.

12. Dennis has long talked about having a Department of Peace.
Has written many speeches, articles and has been part of his platform when he ran for Prez.

and some folks would actually believe him!
Say all he wants, the candidate with two first names will not win the RepubliCON nod, nor will he win the Presidency.

18. i will likely not vote for Paul due to his stance on abortion
and where he stands economically, but as far as the wars, military spending, the patriot acts, the war on drugs, the war on terror, corporate welfare, and spying on us without warrants he is awesome. if he created a department of peace that would be a great thing.

our big issues with him are 1. abortion and 2. we want to tax the rich more than he does but there are lots of issues on which we could work with him.

27. Not in the context that Rep. Kucinich proposed it.
Rep. Kucinich is well known for his pacifist views.

The Dept. of Peace was partly proposed by Rep. Kucinich as a progressive alternative to the War Department.

Not in the Orwellian "War is Peace" propagandistic warmongering way that Orwell's Ministry of Peace operated in the novel "1984".

Honestly, do you think a Dennis Kucinich would use a Dept. of Peace to go to war in order to blow the fuck out of Venezuela in order to steal their oil?

31. I've found that to be true in a few cases.
I typically share the same feelings about 80% of the problems with the world, society and economy, with most libertarians and anarchists.

We diverge dramatically on the last 20-10% which is where I go 100% against a market economy and they think it might be ok.
