If the GOP split into old schoolers and teabaggers, would you want a second left party... |
|

Or one big one. Cause, it seems to me, that in the USA if the left or right is split it means a victory for the other side.
So, I suppose if there's a second left party with no second right party we're all fucked for a long time. However, if there's a split within the GOP it's time for the serious left to make their move.
Unless, how long do you tink it would take for a second left wing party in the USA to become THEE left wing party? Let's face it both the Dems and Repbulicans hold a gun to the US voters head saying, "Come on, for a second party on our side and the other guys are in charge, for sure!"
I guess there's no easy answer. I'm just thinking out loud. I have been at work 13 hours and wanna go home, and by home I mean the bar.
So, the question is if the GOP split, is it time to make a move on the left? Or is it time to get a good hold on power?

1. What is the first "left" party? I know you cannot be referring to the Democratic Party. |

I think multiple parties would be better for America than winning the battle for one-party domination. But we need to be strategic in our votes, because we can't afford to put the Teabaggers in charge of as much as a zip code.

4. Democrats and Democrats Lite |

I really wish we could have a TRUE liberal democratic party. But that is a pipe dream. I actually don't think the teabaggers will ever formally split from the Rethugs.
I believe splitting into multiple parties would be the best possible thing for the country, but it would require such a huge paradigm shift, I think it would be impossible. I think Dems and Rethugs really are two different sides of the same coin. They are so entrenched with lobbyists, corporations, etc etc that I don't ever see either ever risking the deconsolidation of the power.

8. Fuck no. One big party is stronger than two little ones. |

Let the teabaggers and elephants with walkers fight it out. They can eat each other alive for all I care.
